Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat is an Upcoming Indian Television Show on Colors Viacom 18. The new show is based on greatest king, Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat. The life of Emperor Ashoka will be aired on Indian television for the first time. The show is based on epic tale of Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat. Earlier a Movie Ashoka on the life of Ashok starring Shahrukh Khan was released. The show is being produced by Contiloe Entertainment. The channel had, in the past, aired a show titled ‘Veer Shivaji’ on the life of Shivaji. It will be the channel’s second attempt to air a historical show. Ashoka TV Serial is a drama mythological show.
According to sources Swastik Pictures are also working on a Show based on the Life of Ashoka for Star Plus.Â
Story of Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat Serial | Plot
The story of the show is written by author Ashok Banker. Having written several books, he is making his comeback to television after nearly two decades. Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat is the first time that the King Ashoka’s story will be narrated on television.This is the first show on the life of the most famous emperors in the Indian history, Ashoka. It narrates the greatness of the emperor whose life experiences continue to be meaningful lessons for the audience even today. Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat is a historical series tracing the life of Emperor Ashoka, will be launched on Colors soon. The show will encompass his life-altering journey — from his rise to power to his state of penance after the battle of Kalinga, which made him give up war to embrace Buddhism. The great Mauryan emperor, Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat has changed the face of India’s cultural heritage.

* Popular and TalentedActor Sameer Dharmadhikari has been roped in Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat.  Sameer will be seen as King Bindusara, father of Ashoka.  He was Last Seen in Buddha on Zee TV as King Sudhodhana.  He was also seen in Yahan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli, Ek Veer Stree Ki Kahaani Jhansi Ki Rani.  He has also done act in many Movies such as  Agnipath, Dil Kya Kare, Satta and many more.
* Actress Pallavi Subhash has been Roped in to play the role of king Ashoka’s mother. Â Pallavi is a Maharashtrian Model Turned Actor. Â She has done many TV Serials, Marathi Serials and Commercial Ads.
* Actor Sumit Kaul is selected to play the role of Justim who is the son of Chandragupt’s Greek Wife. Sumit was Last Seen in the role of Govind Do Dil Ek Jaan on Life OK.
* Well Known Actor Manoj Joshi will be seen in Ashoka serial as Chanakya. Infact, Manoj Joshi is playing the role of Chanakya from 15 Years in Theater. It will be for the first time on TV. He has also seen in many Bollywood movies.
*Vishnu Sharma will be seen playing the role of Acharya. Â He will be instrumental in grooming Ashoka to make him aware about his responsibilities.
* Ankita Sharma has been roped in Ashoka Serial on Colors. Â Ankita was Last Seen in Rangrasiya as Laila. Â In Ashoka Serial she will be seen as Step Mother of Emperor Ashoka named Noor Khorsan. Being a step mother, her intentions are not good for Ashoka.
