The Shaukeens(2014) is produced by Ashvin Varde, Murad Khetani and Akshay Kumar. The film features the trio of Annu Kapoor, Piyush Mishra and Anupam Kher in lead roles alongside Lisa Haydon. Akshay Kumar is featuring in a Cameo Role. Infact The Shaukeens (2014) is a remake of the 1982 film Shaukeen directed by Basu Chatterjee, starring Ashok Kumar, Utpal Dutt, A. K. Hangal, Rati Agnihotri and Mithun Chakraborty. The Shaukeens is going to be released on 7th November, 2014.

Firstly, Nargis Fakhri was signed for the film but then she left the project for an unnamed Hollywood film. After that, this role was offered to Shraddha Kapoor. But In Last, Actress Lisa Haydon was finalized. Actor Akshay Kumar has also been roped to play the partner of Haydon’s character, a role which Mithun ChakraVorty had portrayed in the original film Shaukeens (1982). Rati Agnihotri will also play a cameo role in film, while she played lead role in original version of the film.

Shooting of the Movie The Shaukeens(2014)

The shooting of the film was started on 25th April, 2014. Akshay Kumar has posted a picture of the film’s first day of filming apparently. The actors were shooting in a hotel room scene indoors. The next schedule was started in june in Mauritius. After that the shooting takes place in Delhi. Anupam Kher starts shooting in Delhi. Also, musical artist Honey Singh has been signed for a song in the film. Singh has earlier repeatedly collaborated with Akshay Kumar in the past, and On the request of Akshay Kumar the rapper-performer get ready for one special number for the film, Singh in turn offered him three songs for the film.The 60 per cent of the film was shot in Mauritius.
