As they were working on Ashoka for Star Plus But with the launch of Ashoka on Colors it is in the news that Production House is coming up with a new show Razia Sultan on an Upcoming Channel ‘Zee &’. It will be a Finite Seies like Mahabharata on Star Plus.  The Story of Razia Sultan serial is written by Mihir Bhuta.  Omung Kumar has done the work to bring the life of 13th century on screen with Grand Sets.  Razia Sultan serial will start from March 2, 2015.

Talented Actor Behzaad Khan has been roped for the Upcoming Serial. He was last seen playing the rough and tough Cop ACP Sameer Rathore in Star Plus’ Arjun. In Rajia Sultaan Serial it will be his first historical character. The actor was on a break from acting ever since he got married to artist Rasha Khan, in October 2013. Now, he has bagged his first project after getting into a wed-lock.  He has been roped in by Swastik Productions for an important role in their new project, Razia Sultan to be aired on the to-be-launched channel Zee & (and).

Behzaad will be playing the main antagonist on the show. His character will be that of a king who would have been deprived of his throne. He will stage a fight back to get to his throne.

Actor Rohit Purohit has been finalized to play the Male Lead Role in the show. He will be playing the Lead role of Altunia, the slave who would fall in Love with his Childhood Friend, Razia Sultan and go on to marry with her. He is well known for playing the lead role of Suraj Prohit in Sanskaar Laxmi on Zee TV. He was last seen in Ishq Kills on Star Plus.  He will be seen as a warrior.  The scenes for Life of Slave has been shoted in Egypt.

VJ Pankhuri Awasthi   has been Roped in Razia Sultan Serial as Razia.  Talented Actress Pankhuri has hosted Style Junkie A Fashion Based Show with VJ Andy.  She has also done a Negative Role in Ramaiya Vastavaiya Movie of Prabhu Deva.  Pankhuri was Last Seen in Yeh Hai Aashiqui and Fanaah.

Sambhavna Seth has been Roped in Razia Sultan Serial on &TV (AND) as Shah Turkan.  She will be seen as Shah Turkan in the Upcoming Serial.  She will be a Manipulative and Ferocious Mistress.

Ankit Arora will be seen as Razia’s step-brother Ruknuddin Firuz in Razia Sultan Serial.  Ankit has got fame from Ramayan on Imagine as Lakshman.  He was Last Seen in Ek Ghar Banaunga.  He has also work in Beend Banoonga Ghodi Chadunga, Jyoti and Phir Subah Hogi.

Bhavana Chauhan has been selected to play the role of Razia’s Elder Sister as Shazia.  Shazia’s nature will be different from Razia.  She will be seen in Glamorours look as a Princess.  Bhavana was Last Seen in Yeh Hai Aashiqui.  She was also seen in Movies like Jai Ho, Hasee Toh Phasee.

Seema Kapoor is selected to play the role of Grandmother of Razia, Shamshad Begum.  Seema has got fame from Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai.

Sooraj Thapar will play the role of Father of Razia.  Sooraj was Last Seen in Bani – Ishq Da Kalma.

Veteran Actor Anil Rastogi has been roped in Razia Sultan to play the role of an Old Aged Man who will be seen giving training to Razia to become a Heroic Warrior.  He was Last seen in Ishqzaade Movie as Arjun Kapoor’s grandfather.  He was also seen in Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha on Colors.

Actress Riya Deepsi will be seen essaying the role of a Slave Girl who will be the best friend of Razia.  Riya has got fame from Mahabharat on Star Plus playing the role of Gandhari.  Recently she is playing role in Maharana Pratap on Sony TV as Akbar’s Wife.

Talented Actor Manish Khanna will be seen as an Egyptian King.  Manish was Last seen in Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara on Star Plus as Govardhan Kaneria.

Story of RaZia Sultan | Plot | Zee & TV

The story will be based on the life of Razia Sultan who was the only female Sultan of Delhi and about her love affair with Altunia. Rohit Prohit will be seen playing Altunia’s character. Altunia is a slave and as per the customs of Sultans, Rajkumaris can only get married to good and well-to-do guys. As the story goes, Razia’s elder Sister Shazia would fall in Love with Atulnia.  It will create the Love Triangel.   The character of Altunia is very interesting as being a slave,he struggles and manages to get married to his love interest, Razia.

As per our Sources, the Story is adapted from the Bollywood Film ‘Razia Sultan’ starring Hema Malini.  Razia Sultan was the first Female Ruler in 13th Century of India.
