Droutinelife : “Jai Santoshi Maa” &TV Serial Wiki, Cast Timing Schedule and Promo – Hindi general entertainment channel (GEC) from the Zee Entertainment Enterprises stable – &TV is all set to experiment with the socio-mythological genre. The channel will soon be launching its first series in the genre titled “Jai Santoshi Maa”. The show is being produced by Rashmi Sharma Telefilms, which is known for popular fictions series like Bhagyalakshmi (&TV), Swaragini and Sasuraal Simar Ka (Colors) and Saath Nibhaana Saathiya (Star Plus).

The channel has roped in veteran actress Aruna Irani, a popular face on &TV, for the show. Actress Juhi Parmar Shroff will be seen alongside her husband actor Sachin Shroff in “Santoshi Maa”. Juhi, who has previously appeared with Sachin in shows like “Aajaa Mahi Vay – Pyaar Ki Agnipareeksha”, “Bigg Boss 5”, “Pati Patni Aur Woh” and “Maa Exchange”
Ayaz Ahmed who was last seen on cult youth show ‘Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan’ will play main lead opposite Ratan Rajpoot. Ayaz will be seen playing the role of a small-town guy, who falls for Ratan, who is an ardent devotee of Goddess Santoshi Maa. Actress Gracy Singh of Lagaan fame will play the role of the goddess. It also features Juhi Parmar Shroff , Smriti Khanna (Ritika of Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi) and Sachin Shroff in main roles. The latest name added to the list is Shahbaz Khan.
We hear Shahbaz Khan will be playing a grey character with a combination of contemporary and a traditional blend. He will be playing elder brother of Ayaz Khan. His character’s name is Pratap.

The promo, which aired on prime time on 28 September is featuring Aruna Irani. The promo features Irani as a successful superstar who has achieved fame, luxury and wealth, but is still seeking inner fulfillment and peace. The promo sees her saying the line that I have achieved everything in life but not satisfaction.

In recent years, Indian television has seen many mythological series dominating the prime time on Hindi GECs. Shows like Mahabharat, Santakmochan Mahabali Hanuman, Devo Ke Dev Mahadev and Surya Putra Karn are some of the shows that have managed to grab eyeballs on the small screen. What’s more, given the popularity of the genre in India, last year also witnessed the launch of a separate channel – The Epic Channel, which airs original content in the Indian history, folklore and mythology space.
