While ‘Twisted‘ showcases Nia Sharma in her sexiest avatar till date, ‘Gehraiyaan‘ is a horror thriller that has the ‘Ek Hasina Thi’ jodi Sanjeeda Shaikh and Vatsal Sheth, and Spotlight has ‘Dahleez‘ fame Tridha Choudhury as Sana Sanyal.

The tagline of the web series suggests ‘Bollywood Exposed‘ and it stays true to these words. The web series gives a glimpse into the big bad world of Bollywood and serves harsh reality and truth to us on a plate.

Spotlight Web Series Story/ Plot/ Summary

Vikram Bhatt’s upcoming show, ‘Spotlight’ is about a girl who belongs to a small town from the hilly areas and dreams of becoming a mega Bollywood star. However, the journey is a bumpy one as she is unlucky in her quest for love.

What is Spotlight about?

Spotlight traces the journey Sana Sanyal, an upcoming actress in the Hindi film industry whose ambition knows no bounds. But like all others, her heart craves true love, that she finds while working on her first big-budget film opposite a young and dashing married actor.

After Sana chasing him, they start a whirlwind romance and both fall for each other.

When there are chances that news of this romance can break her career, Sana smartly does something which shocks everyone! She speaks publicly about her affair which gains her brownie points in the outside world but damages her love life and in the process, she starts making more enemies.

And what follows is sabotaging careers, mean moves, court cases and mud slinging. Will Sana sustain the trouble that she is inviting? What will be the final outcome of the ‘dirty’ Bollywood power game?

Spotlight Web Series Promo Review

We will see Tridha Choudhury in a never-seen-before avatar, that of a sexy bombshell who has shed all her inhibitions. And we like it.
The concept is done and dusted. We have seen similar concepts in the movies ‘Page 3′, ‘Fashion’ and ‘Heroine’ and there is nothing that we haven’t seen before.
Probably the story line has been tweaked a bit, but there is nothing in ‘Spotlight‘ that we haven’t seen before. But we do applaud Tridha for taking up a bold avatar and a bold concept.
