Pagli Pakistani Drama Story, Synopsis, Plot

Gulrukh role played by Hira Salman loses her memory all of a sudden and she leaves her house.  She does this for 2-3 times in the show. She’s very intelligent, with a quick wit.  She met Dr. Khalid in train.  He is going to Lahore for his marriage.   Gul Rukh’s friendly personality impresses Khalid.  He tells her about his marriage and his finance Zubeida (Zubi) role played by Hira Altaf.  Gul Rukh has personality disorder.

She finds her personality to be at odds with Khalid as compared to her own and proposes that he marry her. Khalid accepts Gul Rukh’s challenge to let her stay for 15 days at his haveli to prove otherwise.  She lives there as it is her own house.  She is full of confidence.  Now Dr. Khalid breaks their relationship with fiance and apart from her.  The doctor falls in love for Gul Rukh.

Najam role played by Asim is the finance of Gul Rukh.  She wants to end up with Najam.  So she tries to pair Nazam with Zubi.  Nazam is a simple and slightly older guy.  He enjoys poetry and believes in old-school romance.

The story takes an interesting turn when Gul Rukh’s father Hakeem Karamat Ali while searching for his daughter, finds his way to Khalid’s haveli and reveals that Gul Rukh is his daughter and a psychiatric patient. The story takes turns and twists as it unfolds the harsh past of Gul Rukh and the truth behind her psychiatric condition.
