Zaira Wasim made her debut in Bollywood from Aamir Khan starring Dangal movie, which become India’s one of the highest grossing movie. After Dangal, she acted in Secret Superstars as a lead actress. Zaira also has acted in two television commercials.

Zaira Wasim in Controversies

During Dangal movie, Zaira Wasim being trolled online by radical muslims for having been “un-islamic” by acting in a film and also received death threats because J&K CM Mehbooba Mufti had described Wasim as a “Kashmiri role model”. In February 2017, another controversy emerged when a twitter user shared an old pro-Pakistan Facebook message by Wasim’s mother posted during an India-Pakistan match played in Dhaka for World Twenty20 championship in 2014.

On December 2017, she filed a complained against businessman Vikas Sachdev for molested her. Sachdev has been booked under section 354 (Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of IPC, and relevant sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) since the actor is a minor.
